We are inviting applications from candidates who have experience working as Mechanical Engineers with experience in genset assembly. In this job you will be responsible for the Mechanical Workshop, reporting to the Production Manager and will be working closely with Supervisors of other workshops as well as with Production Planning team.
Main responsibilities for this job are:
- Supervise all resources allocated to the mechanical workshop
- Manage the process in the workshop, adhering to the quality standards both internal and external as applicable
- Monitor workshop capacity and discuss with the manager solutions at early stages
- Monitor team KPIs, identify issues early and work with department manager to rectify any problems
- Monitor performance, utilization of machines and people, giving inputs to Production Planner regarding workshop capacity
- Work with the manager to make improvements
- Monitor and control workshop supplies and consumables
- Monitor and ensure issued materials are kept free of damage.
We are looking for:
- A graduate in Mechanical Engineering with experience supervising genset assembly
- Possess analytical ability with systems-oriented approach to problem solving
- Highly proficient in MS Suite particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Work in a time-bound manner and ensure the team adheres to the timeline in line with the production plan.
